💚 Gommosoup: The Gelatinous Terror of Pastaland

In Issue Zero of the comic The Brainrots, released in July 2025, one of the most unsettling, disgusting, and memorable antagonists in the entire narrative world makes its debut:
Gommosoup, the gelatinous-culinary creature born from a crazed soup and a cursed bouillon cube.

And yes, it is exactly as absurd as it sounds.

🍲 Who (or what) is Gommosoup?

Gommosoup is a living mass of translucent green gelatin, concentrated bouillon cubes, and splashes of boiling liquid that seem to have a mind of their own.
Its consistency resembles a panna cotta forgotten in the fridge for a month, while its smell…
well, it is said to have brought entire wheels of Talking Parmesan to tears.

In the comic, it isn’t just a monster:
it is the embodiment of abandoned soups, resentful broths, and culinary traumas that no one has the courage to face.

⚠️ Powers that shake Pastalandia

Gommosoup possesses some of the craziest abilities ever seen in The Brainrots:

🟢 Elastic tentacles
They stretch for dozens (perhaps hundreds) of meters.

🔴 Heat resistance
The flames of Cannelloni Dragoni only manage to polish its surface.

🟣 Instant regeneration
As long as its secret core is intact, every blow is useless.

🟡 Lethal aroma
Its smell can melt Living Grana cheese and drive sentient heavy cream mad.

🔵 Hypnotic voice
Its gurgling induces those who hear it to crave… hot broth.
Yes, it’s creepy.

🧠 The weak point: the Central Cube

Thanks to the research of Professor Ricottino, the inhabitants of Pastalandia discover that Gommosoup hides an enchanted bouillon cube inside itself, the source of its energy.

Only the Sacred Fork of King Lasagna, an ancient artifact from the Al Dente Lands, can destroy that cube and break the monster’s regeneration.

😱 The Final Battle in Issue Zero

In the climax of the comic, the Flying Squad — formed by:

  • Cannelloni Dragoni
  • Bombombini Gusini
  • Zvinokriny Bombachini
  • Bombardillo Crocodillo

manages to penetrate Gommosoup's gelatinous mass and strike the energy cube.

Gommosoup collapses, melting into a brothy puddle that invades the entire panel.

But…

On the final page, a small, pulsing drop of gelatin remains in the shadows.

“Broth does not forget.”
Is the last line of the chapter

👀 The meaning of Gommosoup

Gommosoup is not just a monster.
It is a metaphor for the things we ignore until they become unmanageable.
It is the emotional soup forgotten in the pot of our fears.
It is the perfect antagonist for a world where even food items have a story to tell.

In the chaos of living pasta, sentient sauces, and oven-fused dragons, Gommosoup represents the dark side of the kitchen… and the mind.

🔥 Gelatinous Trivia from the Comic

  • According to a note from the authors, Gommosoup was born during an episode of "culinary delirium" during an editorial dinner.
  • To create the "slurp" sound effect in the panels, the artists were inspired by real experiments with eggplants, water, and… glue (don't ask).
  • Gommosoup's central cube reappears fleetingly in a shadow in Issue One, but without explanation.

❓ Will Gommosoup return?

The comic doesn't confirm it.
The authors don't deny it.
The readers… are trembling.

But one thing is certain:
if your minestrone starts muttering to itself, don't look it in the eye.
